1. What cookies do
Cookies are small pieces of information stored by your browser. They can help a website remember a session or support features you request. Similar technologies include browser local storage, tracking pixels and device identifiers.
2. What Saffron Shops uses
The current website uses a first-party PHP session cookie. It links your browser to temporary server-side session information used for administrator authentication, form-security tokens and messages confirming actions such as saving a store.

The application currently starts a session when a page is opened, so this cookie may be set on public pages as well as administrator pages. It contains a session identifier, not your password or the contents of a store listing.
We do not currently use analytics cookies, advertising cookies, tracking pixels or browser local storage. Fonts and the photographs supplied with the site are hosted with the website rather than loaded from an external font or image-tracking service.
3. Consent and your choices
Cookies that are strictly necessary to provide a service you request, such as secure sign-in, do not require consent under the applicable cookie rules. We do not use the session cookie for advertising or tracking your activity across other websites.
You can block or delete cookies using your browser settings. Public directory information should remain readable, but blocking the session cookie will prevent sign-in and protected forms from working correctly. Clearing cookies does not delete stored directory records or correspondence.
If we add cookies or similar technologies that require consent, we will provide a choice before using them and a way to change that choice. Simply continuing to browse will not be treated as consent.
4. Links to other services
Store websites, map directions and research sources open external services. Those services may set their own cookies when you visit them. Their policies and settings apply; Saffron Shops does not control them. The current site links to maps rather than embedding a map that loads automatically.
